Mobile Responsive Websites that Work
I developed my first website living in the Amazon Rainforest in the late 90’s. The web was still mostly a mystery to most and magical toy to the rest.
My website became so popular that, Mission Aviation Fellowship, (the organization I flew for) regularly pointed pilot applicants and supporters of the ministry to it to find out what MAF was all about.
Then they contacted me in 2000 and asked if I would consider hanging up my flight duties and come back to the U.S. to work full-time with the Recruiting department, building a stand alone MAF Recruiting website, help in developing some videos and traveling around to universities that had flight programs to share about my experiences.
Everything came together and with 18 months we experienced such interest that potential MAF applicants were exceeding our needs. For the first time in 50 years had a back-log of people wanting to join MAF.
Why was that?
Through our website and videos (which we streamed on-line when that was still a fairly new concept) we were able to tell our story in an engaging way that direct mail and typical appeals of that time never had before.
Today the web is the is the standard by which all marketing efforts are compared. It’s the most cost efficient to reach regional as well as a worldwide market basket of clients and prospects.
In addition I have delved into many other areas as a successful entrepreneur and used the very same tools I use for clients in my own projects with significant success: I am businessman helping other business people.
That’s not a mix you usually get when you hire most web developers today.
Payroll Responsibility Matters
Building, running and managing successful enterprises myself has been one of the keys to Flying Tigers Web Media’s advantage in our clients success on the web: first hand, day to day business experience in a dynamic, real world business environment.
However in addition, as a local Auburn businessman who has had responsibility to actually make a payroll for dozens of employees and done it successfully, this translates into understanding that your web presence has to be viable and productive.
Bottom line? A winning web presence for your company developed and designed by a successful business professional.
Lower overhead translates into savings for you
Most web development firms I have contact with have a staff of between 3-10 people; coders, database specialists, SEO specialists, graphic artists, designers and more. You are paying those salaries as their client.
At Flying Tigers Web Media I work with a black book of professionals in their own right and contract with them as needed by the project to meet any unique needs any given project may bring to the table. That’s all listed in the quote you get before we start. You’re not going to pay for anyone’s skills or talents unnecessary to the job.
Every website we build is Mobile Responsive
Put another way: Your website must be mobile responsive. Why?
About 50-80% of all of your initial contacts and searches for your business will be had using some type of mobile platform; either a tablet or smartphone. According to Google®, if your website is not mobile responsive 50-80% of your initial visitors will simply click off your website.
So your site has to be mobile responsive. That means that no matter what platform a potential client views your site on they won’t have to zoom in or out to see images, read text or fill in forms: your website will automatically adjust to the parameters of the devices used.
This website is mobile responsive; view it on your desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone to see what I mean.
I hope that gives you enough of an over view of Flying Tigers to get started.
